Kings To You Magic

I never wanted to be a magician. Let's get that out there in the air first and foremost. When I got accepted to Texas A&M University, I planned on becoming a lawyer. All in all, I guess the jobs are the same, the only difference being that when magicians lie, they get applause.
My love affair with magic began simply as a way to avoid studying, something I became quite adept at I might add. From there it evolved into more than simply a diversion. I was practicing all the time. I sat through classes with a deck of cards in my hand and had to explain to professors that yes I was paying attention and that the cards were simply a prop to help me remember the information. And they were. I was never without a deck of cards and wherever I was, you could bet that I was practicing my sleights.
So I became engrossed. Magic was no longer a hobby, but an obsession, a passion. I searched out everything I could find on the subject, and slowly but surely I refined myself from simply doing a card trick here and a coing trick there to an actual magician, an entertainer, someone who suspends reality and takes the audience for a wonderful ride. I became a scholar of movement and direction, of words and speech, but most of all I became a scholar of the impossible.
the birth of tristan stone
Tristan Stone is a performance name that Cameron goes by.
How I got nicknamed Tristan is an interesting story. I went to work at the Texas Renaissance Festival one year and the group I was working with all had period-appropriate nicknames, and I wound up with "Tristan".
Since then, most people that I've met have known me as Tristan, including many people in the magic world as well as many of my friends. In fact, some people have known me as Tristan for so long that when someone asks for Cameron, they don't know who they're talking about!
So if you see me at an event or someplace else, feel free to call me Tristan. Everyone else does!
